Gunman In Hell's Kitchen Shoots Man In The Back Early Thursday: NYPD

A man was found with a gunshot wound in the back at just after 6 a.m. on Thursday, police said.

HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — A gunman is still on the run after a man was shot in the back in an early morning shooting in Hell's Kitchen, police said.

At about 6:15 a.m. on Thursday, an unknown man dressed in all black shot a 32-year-old man in the back on West 52nd Street near 11th Avenue, according to officials.

First responders rushed the wounded man to Mount Sinai Morningside in stable condition, police said.

According to a NYPD spokesperson, the gunman fled on foot northbound on 11th Avenue.
