Helicopter Flyover Planned In Midtown Friday

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Don't be alarmed if you see or hear a helicopter over Midtown Friday afternoon, the NYPD is advising residents.

A red, white and blue-colored Hughes 300C helicopter will fly over Midtown from about 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., police said. It will be conducting "a filming project," the NYPD said.

The helicopter will fly at about 2,000 feet above the ground — or about 550 feet higher than the tip of the Empire State Building's spire.
