NYC Broadway Week: How To Score 2-For-1 Tickets For Hottest Shows

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Ticket sales for NYC Broadway Week — the biannual event where theater lovers can enjoy two shows for the price of one — launched Thursday, New York City's tourism agency announced.
NYC Broadway Week will be held from Sept. 4-17 and will feature some of Broadway's best-known shows. Two-for-one tickets can be purchased for shows such as the "Lion King," "Alladdin," "Wicked," "Chicago" and "Beautiful: The Carole King Musical."
New, critically acclaimed shows such as "1984," and "Groundhog Day" are also participating.

This year marks the seventh anniversary since the first NYC Broadway Week, according to tourism officials.
"Attending a live Broadway performance is an iconic New York City experience, and NYC Broadway Week allows everyone the chance to enjoy a show at a great value," Fred Dixon, president and CEO of NYC & Company, said in a statement. "With one million NYC Broadway Week tickets sold since the program began over six years ago, NYC & Company is proud to support the Broadway community as well as offer New Yorkers and visitors additional access to the performing arts."

Two-for-one tickets can be purchased through NYC & Company's website by using the special code BWAYWK. Theatergoers also have the option of purchasing an upgraded seats for an additional $20 per ticket.

"The variety of shows currently on Broadway proves that there’s something for everyone and this is the perfect time to experience it," Charlotte St. Martin, president of the Broadway League, said in a statement.
