St. Patrick's Cathedral Reopens For First Mass Since March

NEW YORK, NY — Saint Patrick's Cathedral on Sunday morning is celebrating its first public Mass since March.

Archbishop of New York Timothy Dolan is leading the celebration that started at 10:15 a.m. ET, according to the Archdiocese of New York.

While the cathedral is reopening, capacity will be limited to 25 percent, and various social distancing guidelines will be in place to aid in the prevention of coronavirus, including staying at least six feet apart and wearing face coverings.

St. Patrick's has provided daily livestreams of Mass during the pandemic, and will continue to do so moving forward.

Additionally, the Catholic cathedral in Manhattan has been open since June 1, but people have only been allowed inside during select times to pray.

Here is the new in-person Mass schedule for St. Patrick's, according to its website.

• Monday-Friday: 7 a.m. & 12 p.m.
• Saturday: 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.
• Sunday: 10:15 a.m., 1 p.m. & 4 p.m.
