#95: Get a Pickle From Pickle Packin' Papa
From garlic dill pickles to hot pickles to even jalapeno pickled eggs, Joy the Pickle Lady has it all.
If you're ever driving down in Rocky Point and wondered why a bright green pickle was hanging from one of the store fronts but never bothered to check it out, you certainly don't know what you're missing.
It's not every day you see a place like , where they specialize in everything...pickled.
"I’ve been working six days a week for 25 years here," said Joy the Pickle Lady. "Everything is fresh packed. I have four types of pickles, five types of olives, 30 different items and I also sell individual pickles."

You can get everything from a classic garlic dill to one of their newest items, hot pickles, something Joy says her customers have been asking her about for years.
"My ideas come mostly from my customers," she said. "They had been haunting me for years about the hot pickles and one day I had nothing to do and I said ‘let me concoct, let me experiment.”

Pickle Packin' Papa is open year-round from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and when they're closed, you can call to find out where Joy is. The Pickle Lady travels on weekends nine months out of the year as a vendor where you can get individual items or items in bulk.
