• Carolina Hurricanes' Goalie And Stanley Cup Winner, Brandon Bussi, Brings Cup Home To Long Island (patch.com) — Miller Place hockey fans have a hometown hero to celebrate as Carolina Hurricanes goalie Brandon Bussi, a Miller Place graduate and Sound Beach native, returned to Long Island with the Stanley Cup. At a special event at the Rinx in Hauppauge, where he first played goalie, Suffolk officials honored him with proclamations and a new Suffolk County Sports Person of the Year award while fans lined up for photos with the Cup.
