Christmas Eve was the last time I noticed Tilda's Bake Shop was open. This week it has been closed every day. No sign on the door. No sign of life inside. No answer when you call the store. The popular Rocky Point bakery seemed busy as usual Christmas Eve and has been for decades. So, what happened? If they were taking a week off after the holidays or, if there were an emergency in the family, you'd expect that someone would at least post a sign on the door. Or, if the store had to close suddenly because of some mechanical issue. Or, if they knew that were closing for good in the New Year, wouldn't they have said something to their customers? When I stopped by today, there were at least six other people shaking their heads and wondering what happened. Of course, Tilda's will be greatly missed if the store is indeed CLOSED. Not just for the scrumptious blueberry muffins and fresh bread. The store had an ambience that was almost magical. It's one of the places that made Rocky Point a special town. So, what happened? Does anyone know?
