'Arch' Building to Become Ace Hardware
Unique building on corner of 25a in Rocky Point to be an Ace Hardware.
The 'arch' building on the corner of 25a and Rocky Point-Yaphank Road has been leased and will become an Ace Hardware, according to Prudential agent Bob Damon.
The building is leased to a national tenant and is expected to open up in August after "small details" to the 7,000 square foot building are finished up.
"The building was built by a local contractor who bought it about seven years ago," Damon said. "We originally planned to lease it to separate retail tenants, we had a couple tenants lined up but this national tenant offered to take the whole building which was a better deal all around."

The unique, arched structure stands out on the corner of 25a and has piqued local interest. Damon said at one point a local restaurant wanted to move in but putting in a new kitchen would’ve been too expensive, so they backed out. Outdoor seating would've been planned, but there will be a walk-around patio surrounding the building.
"The owner put a lot of extra money into the property to make it look a little nicer than the average building," Damon said.
