Out With the Old, In With the New?

Out with the old and in with the new?

Happy New Year! Wow, 2012.  It seems the older I get, the faster each year goes by.

So, is that old saying, "Out with the old and in with the new" true?  How many people make resolutions?  It sounds good, but what about the follow through?  I've listened and asked many about their resolutions.  Some of the answers were the norm, a few made me laugh!  (Where would we be without laughter?)  Here are some of them: excercise, lose weight, stop sweating the small stuff in life, work on relationships, quit smoking, stop procrastinating, speak up more for ones self, realize the control is in your own hands, to drink less, and to drink more.  Some said they resolve not to make resolutions.  I am usually in the latter.

This year I read a book call 21 Wishes by Debbie Macomber.  What a tear jerker... but it really made me think.  I haven't seen the movie, Bucket List, but I guess it was similar.  It made me really think about the things one would want to do with the rest of their life.

So, what's my resolution you ask?  I really want to learn to be a better "couponer".  Not an "extreme" couponer, like the show on TLC.  No one wants to decorate a room with shelves like a grocery store.  I just want to be better at it.  Recently, I came across a website that has the sale matchups with the coupons for our area.  Livingrichwithcoupons.com  Wishing you luck if you decide to do the same!

Even though 2011 brought some sad things into many lives, Irene being one of them, try to focus of the positive things too...there must have been something along the way!  I love this quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson ~ "Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year."
