Coram Woman Charged With Animal Cruelty
Her severely matted, urine soaked dog was unable to move because of a neck injury causing skin irritations and pain, SPCA says.

A 32-year-old Coram woman faces an animal cruelty charge for allegedly neglecting her dog, Suffolk County SPCA officials said.
SPCA Chief Roy Gross said that Lateesha Boston severely neglected her 4-year-old male Maltese mix by failing to provide necessary veterinary care in a timely manner for a serious, extremely painful neck injury.
The severely matted, urine soaked dog was unable to move because of the neck injury causing skin irritations and pain, Gross said.
The dog is presently under the care of Grady Animal Hospital in Sayville.
Boston is scheduled to appear in court on June 7.
