Girl Scouts of Troop 1660 Open Their Hearts for Children

The Girls of Troop 1660 dedicated over 50 hours of their time to the Riverhead Community Housing Shelter, renovating the children’s playroom.

Halle Abrams, Fiona Kennedy and Julia Lamberson planned, painted, collected donations, shopped and decorated the playroom bringing smiles to the children. The girls reached out to family, friends and local business to raise donations. 

The girls will earn their Silver Award at the May Bridging Ceremony, an achievement to be proud of, in addition to the gratification they felt helping
