How is it that we elect supposedly learned people to run our government and after spending more that we take in, the first thing they do is shut down the IRS, the major collection agency that supports the Government! Then, with the tipping point approaching they vote to pay all the workers that they sent home, in essence paying government workers for doing nothing! Those that were required to stay at their jobs also get paid but had to work for it. Who came up with this plan!? If you can't pay the bills, start cutting expenses that don't affect American citizens. Any surplus should pay off the principle, reducing our debt.
