Legis. Anker Officially Sworn In Tuesday

Anker set to work with Suffolk County Legislature.

, D-Mt. Sinai, was officially sworn in Tuesday by County Clerk Judy Pascale immediately after the special election was certified by the Board of Elections.

There will also be a ceremonial swearing in at the Legislature's meeting on Tuesday, April 26.

Legis. Anker said she welcomes residents to stop in her office, the same office presided by former Legis. Dan LoSquadro, to share their issues or get the help they are looking for. She will also hold weekend meetings at various locations throughout the Sixth District to personally hear from community members.

She also said she will cosponsor Presiding Officer Williams Lindsay's legislation banning the use of coal-tar based sealcoat in Suffolk County, and also to support Legis. Jon Cooper's two percent cap on county spending increases.
