NSYC Hosts 16th Annual Consortium
North Shore Youth Council hosted its annual consortium meeting to bring community resources together.

(Rocky Point, NY) On Thursday, March 28th, North Shore Youth Council hosted its 16th Annual Consortium Meeting, which brought together school district administrations, elected town and county officials, and nonprofit and community organizations to network and share information for local youth and families.
Facilitated by NSYC Executive Director, Janene Gentile, the meeting gave those in attendance the opportunity to speak about the programs and services they provide so that the public knows what resources are available and how to access them. The event highlighted two guest speakers, Jenny Andersson, of the Long Island Early Childhood Direction Center, and Melissa Del Giudice, founder of Yoga for Health Long Island.
The collective information focused on mental health wellness and awareness, suicide prevention, drug and alcohol prevention and treatment, LGBT services, and special education advocacy. It has become a signature initiative of NSYC to bring in the diverse coalition, which helps create new partnerships and cooperation among each other while bridging the gaps in services for people in need.
