MILLER PLACE, NY — Route 25A will be closed between Miller Place Road in Miller Place to 150 feet east of Broadway in Rocky Point from 11:45 a.m. to about 4 p.m. for the Miller Place-Rocky Point St. Patrick's Day Parade — one of the largest parades in the region — on Sunday, Suffolk police said.
Parking will be prohibited along the parade route, according to police.
Police said that both uniformed and plainclothes officers will be present "to monitor crowd activity" and they will be enforcing the Brookhaven Town ordinance that prohibits the possession of open alcoholic beverages.
