Queens Woman Ran Unlicensed Massage Parlor In Miller Place: PD
Duan, 52, of Flushing was charged with with two counts of unauthorized practice of a profession, a felony, police said.
MILLER PLACE, NY — A Queens woman has been busted for running an unlicensed massage parlor in Miller Place, Suffolk police said.
In response to numerous community complaints, authorities conducted a surprise inspection at The Oasis Spa on Route 25A just before 9 p.m. on Tuesday, and charged Guping Duan, 52, of Flushing, with two counts of unauthorized practice of a profession, a felony under the New York State Education Law, police said.
During the inspection, which was conducted by 6th Precinct Crime Section officers and the Town of Brookhaven’s Building Inspector, Fire Marshal, and Law Department, investigators documented “numerous violations and condemned the premises,” police said.

Duan will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Oct. 8.
