How is that Red Light Camera working for you Miller Place people? I'm still hearing about accidents at the intersection of 25A and North Country rd. I also hear the county is making a ton of money on people making "rolling rights". Rolling rights are very low risk and no more dangerous than a full stop before right and not paying attention or looking. NHTSA states less than 0.2 percent of all fatalities involved a right-turning vehicle maneuver at an intersection where RTOR is permitted. Someone should do a FOIL and find out the % of rolling rights tickets are at that intersection. Maybe the county should put stop cameras in the gas stations and 7-11 exits there too, to make sure no one is making rolling rights. That is, if they really care about the money, oh I mean the accidents.
