Rocky Point Athletes Take The Next Step
11 RPHS seniors have been selected to continue their athletic journeys this fall at different universities around the country.

From Rocky Point School District: After 13 years of hard work, dedication and sportsmanship, 11 Rocky Point High School seniors have been selected to continue their athletic journeys this fall at some of the top colleges and universities in the country.
While surrounded by proud family members and friends, 10 students made their commitments to the chosen schools by recently putting pen to paper and signing national letters of intent. One student memorialized his future plans with a commitment to the U.S. Naval Academy. The district extends its best wishes and congratulations to the following student-athletes and their families:
- Lawrence Bastianelli – lacrosse, Franklin Pierce University
- Christina Bellissimo – lacrosse, Stony Brook University
- Abbie Bellport – acrosse, Molloy College
- Sara Giammarella – lacrosse, New York Institute of Technology
- Joseph Grillo – baseball, University of Bridgeport
- Peter LaSalla – lacrosse, University of Virginia
- Shannon Maroney – lacrosse, Canisius College
- Madison Sanchez – lacrosse, University of Maryland
- Amanda Schultz – lacrosse, Pace University
- Anthony Sciotto – wrestling, U.S. Naval Academy
- Jake Wandle – lacrosse, Stony Brook University
