Rocky Point High School Government Students Meet Tim Bishop

Rep. Tim Bishop, D-Southampton, recently spoke with students enrolled in Brook Bonomi’s government classes.

Rep. Bishop discussed the role of a congressman and then opened the floor to a question-and-answer forum. Students inquired about job reform, ways to lower college tuition costs, voting eligibility and ways to reduce the state and national debt.

After the assembly, some students remained to speak with the congressman about how to volunteer on a congressional or presidential campaign and also to engage further on certain issues.
