Rocky Point Man, 79, Dies In Miller Place Car Crash: PD
Raoul Rasch was pronounced dead at Stony Brook University Hospital Medical Center, Suffolk police said.

MILLER PLACE, NY — Detectives are investigating a two-vehicle crash that killed a 79-year-old man in Miller Place on Saturday morning, Suffolk County police said.
Police said that about 11:30 a.m., Raoul Rasch was driving a 1934 Ford eastbound on Route 25A, near Panther Path, when the vehicle crossed into the westbound lane and then struck a westbound 2004 Ford pickup driven by Jose Herrera.
Rasch, a Rocky Point resident, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Herrera, 54, of Centereach, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with minor injuries, according to police.

The vehicles were impounded for a safety checks, police said. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the 6th Squad at 631-854-8652.
