Rocky Point Students to Be Featured in Newsday

Rocky Point School District’s Joseph A. Edgar Intermediate School fourth-graders in Patricia Alberti’s class are learning first-hand about the world of journalism as part of their work on an upcoming issue of Newsday’s Kidsday.

For their piece, which will run the week of Feb. 11, the entire class is working to develop feature articles, product and book reviews as well as surveys. Four students recently traveled to New York City to interview the Kongos, a rock band, and enjoy skating at Rockefeller Center.
