Teen Dies Of Injuries Suffered In Suffolk County Crash
The car veered into a tree, police say.

ROCKY POINT, NY — A Rocky Point teen has died from injuries sustained in a tragic Manorville crash Tuesday.
Patrick Morris, 17, died on Saturday, Suffolk County Police said.
Three teens were hurt in the crash, which took place on North Street, north of Moriches Middle Island Road, at 2:30 a.m., police said.

An 18-year-old female was driving a 2008 Nissan Altima westbound on North Street, about a mile north of Moriches Middle Island Road, when the vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a tree, police said.
Morris was transported by Suffolk County Police helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital in serious condition; the driver and a 17-year-old male, who had been a passenger in the backseat of the vehicle, were transported via ambulances to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The vehicle was impounded for safety checks. The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752.
