Shoreham-Wading River Board Honors Student-Musicians

The board honored several talented Shoreham-Wading River HS students who have been selected as 2017 All-State and All-County musicians.

From Shoreham-Wading Schools: The Shoreham-Wading River Board of Education took time during its Nov. 7 meeting to celebrate and honor several talented Shoreham-Wading River High School students who have been selected as 2017 All-State and All-County musicians.

New York State School Music Association’s All-State musicians include Jack Flatley (voice), Alexandra Meli (vocal jazz), Justin Stuart (voice/alternate) and Christopher Wygonik (double bass). Suffolk County Music Educators’ Association All-County musicians included Brett Callagy (viola), Jack Flatley (voice), Julianna
Kohlus (French horn), Kerry Mannix (voice), Alexandra Meli (tuba), Ryan Nowak (voice), Justin Stuart (voice) and Christopher Wygonik (trombone). Board of Education President Robert Rose and Superintendent of Schools Gerard Poole honored those present with encouraging words and gifted each a pin
designed with the District logo to honor their commitment to their study of music.
