A Spirited Playlist

From Rocky Point Schools:Joseph A. Edgar Intermediate School’s fifth-grade Select Chorus helped to bring a comical tale of a lost musical playlist and the chaos that ensued during this year’s winter school musical “Santa’s Holiday Playlist,” written by John Jacobson and Roger Emerson.

Under the direction of music teacher Craig B. Knapp, the Rocky Point students rehearsed for weeks to perfect their musical, acting and singing talents before opening night and two subsequent daytime performances for their peers. The show followed the lives of those at the North Pole, and how they worked to help Santa cope with a missing list of his favorite classic holiday tunes. From dancing wooden soldiers, to a snowflake that wanted to become the next Broadway star, the musical was both funny, heart-filling and highly entertaining for all audiences.
