The Start of Success at Rocky Point Middle School

Orientation program provides a positive kick start to the school year.

The smells of summer BBQ filled the cafeteria and students excitedly explored the hallways of their new middle school at Rocky Point’s grade six orientation. The event, hosted by principal Scott O’Brien and the school’s PTA, welcomed incoming students and their parents for an afternoon of information and socialization.

Students arrived in the lobby to receive their much-anticipated class schedules and locker assignments, the foundation for the upcoming school year. Reconnecting with their peers, students found their lockers and perfected the lock combination technique. Students added style to the space with unique décor and the PTA distributed innovative locker shelves providing students with the perfect tools for organization.

Once their lockers were filled with essential supplies students gathered in the cafeteria for a delicious and nutritious lunch sponsored by the school’s PTA.
