"Teresa Girl" Contest Kicks Off in June

Between charity work, fundraising, networking and running her company, , founder of , found herself spread a little thin.

To combat this, her and her staff came up with the idea for finding a spokesperson, and with that, the was born.

"My staff and I got together to try to come up with a way for me to be in more than one place at a time," Ward said. "That's how the Teresa Girl contest was born. Summer is a time for fun, and we thought this contest would be exactly that.

"Our "Teresa Girl" can be a stand in for me at marketing events, spread the word about our charitable work, and even be featured in our how to videos that we'll soon be unveiling."

Auditions will be held from 1-5 p.m. on June 24th at the   and on August 26th at the Viana Hotel and Spa. The winner will be crowned on September 23rd at the from 4-8 p.m. with music to follow. All participants must register online at teresagirl.com.

"Being a Teresa Girl is all about personality," Ward said. "You've got to be charming and personable. The Teresa Girl we're looking for is fun, fit, and full of energy. Because she'll be a spokesperson, she's got to be able to perform on camera and be well spoken and comfortable in public. As for looks, think Mad Men chic. We're looking for a retro girl, and we've got full contest rules and more info on the site."
