2 Nassau People Displaced After Mineola House Fire: FD

The FD encountered a fire in the walls of the home, fire marshals say.

MINEOLA, NY — Two people were displaced after a fire in their Mineola home, fire marshals said.

The Nassau County Fire Marshal’s Office said they received the alarm at 10:55 a.m. on Friday. Upon arrival at the two-story home, they encountered a fire in the walls of the home, fire marshals said.

Neighboring fire departments, such as Garden City Park, Carle Place, Westbury, Albertson, and New Hyde Park, assisted at the scene, fire marshals said.

According to fire marshals, one adult self-evacuated the home before the FD arrived.

No investigation has been requested by the Mineola FD, fire marshals said.
