3 Arrested for Credit Card Fraud in Nassau County: Police

The men possessed approximately 34 fraudulent credit cards, police say.

A 911 call from a suspicious liquor store employee led to the arrest of three Brooklyn men who were were found to be in possession of multiple fraudulent credit cards Saturday afternoon in Westbury, police say.

According to authorities, Michael Rosenfeld, 26, entered Westbury Liquors, located at 1250 Old Country Road, and tried to purchase liquor with a fraudulent credit card at 1 p.m., but the cashier refused to accept the card and notified police. Rosenfeld left the store and walked towards a waiting vehicle, police say.

Officers then arrived to the scene and found Rosenfeld along with Devon Harvey, 28, and Dawon Hennegan, 29, to all be in possession of several fraudulent credit cards.

Rosenfeld was charged with six counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument, Harvey was charged with 12 counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument and Hennegan was charged with 16 counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument.

All three men will be arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
