3-Year-Old Boy Dead After Being Hit By Driver With Suspended License: Cops
BREAKING: The boy had been playing a sidewalk and ran out in front of a car Thursday night, Nassau Police say.
HEMPSTEAD, NY - A 3-year-old boy was struck and killed by a car in Nassau County Thursday night. The man driving the car had a suspended license and was arrested at the scene in Hempstead, police said.
According to Nassau Police, George J. Graydon, of Green Avenue in Hempstead, was driving a 2017 Dodge Challenger east through the rear parking lot of an apartment complex at 70 Maple Ave. in Hempstead when a 3-year-old boy who was playing on the sidewalk ran out in front of the vehicle at about 9:04 p.m.
Graydon stopped and attempted to render aid to the boy, who police identified as Qualique McDaniels. The child transported to Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre where he was pronounced dead at 9:40 p.m., police said.

Graydon was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after determined that he was driving with a suspended license, police said.
Graydon will be arraigned Friday at First District Court in Hempstead. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
