From the moment you see the door of Eleanor Rigby's, you have a feeling that you are entering a place that is influenced by music; the very first thing you touch is an electric guitar neck door handle. Upon entering the second set of doors, you are engulfed by walls plastered with Beatles memorabilia.
Since the opening 16 years ago, the owner has continually updated and added to his personal collection of the Fab Four. With a commitment to the era of rock and roll, the restaurant is most definitely a music fan's paradise. Brick and wood accents run throughout the restaurant/bar area for that early American feel while the Mop Tops' musical memorabilia adorn the walls. Even the outside garden and seating area is Beatles' themed – christened the "Octopus' garden."
On its surface, Eleanor Rigby's would seem to cater primarily to an older crowd of boomers who grew up with the likes of John, Paul, George and Ringo, the establishment draws heavily from Winthrop Hospital during the noon rush and the happy hour crowd.

But that isn't to say this place is just for those members of the Lonely Hears Club Band. The ownership understands music changes with every generation – and sometimes even more frequently – and is so committed to blasting out good tunes that they regularly bring local cover bands into the restaurant to offer live music to customers on Friday and Saturday nights, which range from playing music from the Forties to more contemporary tunes to bring in the younger crowds. Even the family pooch is welcome as the restaurant allows dogs to be brought in on Sundays.
The manager noted that the staff "is like a family," because many of them have been working there for more then five years.
