  1. Hollywood star Alec Baldwin, a well-known son of Massapequa, fired shots from a prop firearm while filming a movie in Santa Fe, New Mexico that killed the 42-year-old female cinematographer on the project and wounded the director. (Yahoo)
  2. The human remains of Brian Laundrie, the main suspect in the killing of his fiancé and Blue Point native Gabby Petito, have been found at a Florida reserve, the FBI has confirmed. The cause of death for Laundrie has not been released. (News12 Long Island)
  3. Lost Farmer Brewing Company, a trendy new tasting room on East Second Street in Mineola, has been granted amendments to its special use permit by the Village Board of Trustees. Lost Farmer can now operate from noon to midnight 7 days a week, allow six employees on the property, and have a warming kitchen without open flames. The business cannot play amplified music.
