Allstate Employees Partner Together for Bring Out the Good Month in Nassau County

Allstate employees partner with the Long Island-based Interfaith Nutrition Network to help prepare and serve hundreds of meals

“At Allstate, we believe in improving lives and making communities stronger,” says Anna Pagano, Allstate Event Leader.

Throughout April, Allstate employees and agency owners across the country volunteered their time to address pressing social needs.

Recently, Nassau County-based Allstate employees and agency owners from Hempstead and Mineola banded together to assist the Long Island-based Interfaith Nutrition Network. Together, they prepared and served hundreds of meals.

This volunteer project was one of hundreds supported by nearly 13,000 Allstaters during Allstate’s annual Bring Out the Good Month. Together, Allstate employees and agency owners also raised more than $7 million for more than 8,000 nonprofit organizations.

“Bring Out the Good Month has special meaning for Allstaters,” adds Pagano. “It’s a time we can come together around the country to volunteer for the causes we’re passionate about and help staff soup kitchens, mentor youth and beautify community spaces. Supporting others is truly our purpose and it’s a source of pride for us.”

These Allstate offices continue to support the Interfaith Nutrition Network Soup Kitchen. This is the third year the offices have committed volunteer hours to this nonprofit. Activities at this late-April event included: preparing and serving meals for over 200 hundred people, preparing toiletry bags, as well as sorting clothes and food for INN's food pantry.

In addition to volunteering during Allstate’s Bring Out the Good Month, Allstaters are encouraged to support local nonprofits throughout the year. In 2016, Allstate employees and agency owners donated 230,000 volunteer hours and supported more than 8,800 nonprofits with monetary donations.
