Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Program

FREE services available to caregivers who are caring for a loved one with dementia. Services are available in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

Providing care for a person with dementia is challenging, with the Alzheimer’s disease caregiver support initiative, now there is help for families affected by Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. Sponsored by the Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, our program features a full range of services, including a free in home visit with a licensed social worker; support groups; socialization opportunities; education and training programs on how to care for someone with Alzheimer’s; family consultations; access to volunteer companions; and scholarships for in-home care, adult day services or overnight stays. Services are free and available to anyone caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease or other types of dementia. Anyone is eligible to apply.
