Apple Executive Talks Tech at Mineola Middle School

A company vp gained first-hand knowledge on how iPads are used across all subject areas.

As an Apple Distinguished School, Apple’s Vice President of Education John Couch visited classrooms at Mineola Middle School on Wednesday, Oct. 29.

He got the full 3-D experience and toured classrooms with Principal Matthew Gaven and Superintendent Michael Nagler, Ed.D. to garner feedback and first-hand knowledge on just how the iPads were being used across all subject areas.

Couch personally spoke with teachers and administrators on the specifics of certain applications and how they are enhancing and differentiating instruction for students. As of this year, all students in grades 3-9 have personal, district-issued iPads, and iPad stations are set up in classrooms for students in grades K-2.
