Arrest Made After Slew Of Nassau County Break-Ins, Thefts
BREAKING: Police have made an arrest in connection with a slew of break-ins and thefts around Nassau County.

MINEOLA, NY — Police arrested a Queens man in Mineola early Saturday in connection with a string of break-ins and thefts in Bethpage, Franklin Square, Roosevely, Freeport and North Massapequa.
James Markellos, of 86th Road in Woodhaven, was arrested around 2:30 a.m. Thursday following an extensive investigation into trailer break-ins and thefts of landscaping equipment, Nassau County police said.
Markellos was arrested without incident near Armstrong Place and Washington Avenue in Mineola. He faces multiple charges of grand larceny and was expected in court in Hempstead on Thursday.

- Aug. 1 — 400 block of Hicksville Road, Bethpage
- Aug. 3 — 400 block of Hicksville Road, Bethpage
- Aug. 15 — 90 Block of Franklin Avenue, Franklin Square
- Aug. 17 — 40 block of West Centennial Avenue, Roosevelt
- Aug. 19 — 10 block of Washburn Avenue, Freeport
- Aug. 22 — 279 Atlantic Avenue, Freeport
- Aug. 22 — 100 block Nassau Road, Roosevelt
- Aug. 28 — 1495 Hicksville Road, North Massapequa
It wasn't immediately known if Markellos has an attorney.
