  1. A man robbed the Citibank at 250 Old Country Road in Mineola on Saturday, and Nassau County police are searching for him. They said the suspect walked into the bank, which is located underneath the One Third Avenue apartment building, handed the teller a note and demanded money. After the suspect was given the money, he ran off. Investigators describe him as a 6 feet tall white male, age 40 - 50, average build, with salt and pepper hair. 2. Two days later, on Monday morning, a male suspect robbed the People's United Bank at 106 7th St. in Garden City in the same manner as the Mineola Citibank robbery, according to Nassau County police. No one was hurt. They also described this suspect as a white man, 40-50 years old, 6 feet tall, but with a thin build. He was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.
