Belle in Beauty and the Beast

Natalia Terezakis, a Mineola resident and senior at Sacred Heart Academy (SHA), will star as Belle in the Sacred Heart production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Natalia performed a lead role (Nancy) in the school’s production of Oliver last year and has been a regular performer for Chaminade High School plays since her freshman year. Natalia maintains a rigorous academic schedule for her senior year, which includes AP classes in Spanish, Biology and Psychology as well as honors classes in Pre-calculus, Economics and Government, and Gender Studies. Natalia is a member of the National Honors Society, as well as the Math, Science and Spanish honors societies. Her extra-curricular activities at Sacred Heart include the successful Speech and Debate Team, Math Team, Science Olympiad and Science Research, and she is a contributor to The Cordette, the school’s newspaper. Outside of SHA, Natalia is a member of Junior Catholic Daughters of America and volunteers at St. Brigid’s Church as a homework assistant for elementary students in Hempstead.

Natalia says of her experiences in the arts at Sacred Heart Academy, “It’s such a rewarding feeling to see everyone’s hard work and commitment pay off in the end. Being surrounded by people who care about the same things you do provides a nurturing environment and lets you release your inhibitions.”

Natalia Terezakis '17 and Annalisa Emmett '19 will perform as Belle on alternate dates.
