Bites Nearby: Japanese Buffet at Minado

There are some things we can’t get enough of, especially food. All you can eat specials abound and chances are you can find one to suit your tastes, even if you’re craving some sushi. That’s where Minado come into the picture.

Minado – is a buffet packed with a very wide range of Japanese food. At the sushi counter, several men prepare dozens of kinds of sushi such as sesame tuna roll, spicy tuna, hamachi, California roll and tofu roll.

Condiments are wasabi, spicy mayo, ginger sauce and ginger. Some of the prepared cold salads are bok choy and shitake, peanut noodles, and okra with miso vinegar sauce.

The soups one day were miso, clear, spicy shrimp and crab. Amongst the many hot items were shrimp and vegetable tempura, beef teriyaki and salmon skewers. Pastries and fresh fruit finish off the banquet.

At night some pricier items are added to the choices — an open hibachi grill features stir fried steak and seafood, there are oysters and sashimi, hot and cold crab legs and a crepe station.

Everything is well labeled and easy to get to and the wait staff is very pleasant and accommodating.
