Students bounce back in the first week of school

Students of Carle Place’s Rushmore Avenue School settled into their first week of
school and organized their school supplies, made new friends and participated in exciting
activities. Throughout the week, they started reading new books, enjoyed time with their
lunch buddies, carried out STEAM challenges and more.

Students at Rushmore Avenue School kicked off the new school year by sporting gold shoelaces to raise awareness for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Students also kicked off the new school year by sporting gold shoelaces to raise awareness for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Working with the organization Solving Kids Cancer, students are showing their support through the “Lace Up for Kids” campaign. They will be wearing gold laces throughout the month of September and joined the social media campaign under #LaceUpForKids and #CareWearShare.
