Cops: Man Charged in Violent Taser Burglary
Bay Shore man masqueraded as flower delivery man, tased and beat Great Neck Plaza homeowner, and robbed him, cops said.

A Suffolk man faces multiple charges for allegedly posing as a florist delivery man, tasering a homeowner, and robbing them at gunpoint, according to Nassau County Police.
Daniel Ratliff, 36, of Bay Shore, was located and charged Thursday in connection with the violent robbery of a Great Neck Plaza home in June, cops said.
At 1:52 p.m. on June 10, Ratliff, masquerading as a flower delivery man, rang a doorbell of a Clent Road apartment, cops said. A 34-year-old man answered the door and was immediately tased by Ratliff and was hit in the head with a glass vase, police said.

A violent struggle then ensued, and Ratliff reportedly displayed a black handgun. He then bound the victims’ hands and feet while on the ground. Demanding money, he then located and broke open a locked safe in a hallway closet before leaving on foot in an unknown direction, according to police.
Ratliff made off with an undetermined amount of cash, diamond jewelry, passport and papers, detectives said.
