Here are the top stories in Mineola today:
- Nassau County residents showed up by the hundreds to receive a COVID-19 booster vaccine at Nassau Community College in Garden City on Saturday. Volunteers vaccinated people with either Moderna or Johnson & Johnson booster doses provided by the Nassau County Department of Health in Mineola. (News12 Long Island)
- A drug bust last week in New Cassel in which six people were arrested was in a residential neighborhood on Fourth Avenue, shocking local residents and leaders alike. Three of the defendants were members of the Bloods gang, operating out of a house located down the street from Park Avenue Elementary School in Westbury. (abc7NY)
- If you are looking to venture out this Thanksgiving after limited celebrations last year, a variety of restaurants throughout our area will be open and serving turkey dinner as well as an array of other options, including Davenport Press in Mineola, Havana Central in Garden City and Ben's Kosher Deli in Carle Place.
