  • A man robbed a Dunkin' Donuts on Jerusalem Avenue in Hicksville this past Saturday night just after 9 p.m. Police are searching for the male suspect who pushed two female employees, warned that he had a gun, stole money from the cash register and then fled. (News 12 Long Island)
  • A Queens man has been convicted in a jury trial in Mineola of 7 counts of 2nd degree burglary for his role in a crime ring that targeted gated communities in Old Westbury, Manhasset, Jericho and Woodbury. Brayan Castano and two co-defendants stole more than $1 million in cash and currency from homes during a five-month robbery spree in 2018. (Mineola Patch)
  • Members of the Garden City Jewish Center have helped an Afghan refugee family who recently arrived in New York and are resettling in Elmont, giving them household items and furniture to make a new home here, as well as money for food. (The Garden City News)
