Election 2017: Schnirman Squeaks By To Win Comptroller
Schnirman defeated Steven Labriola to win the race to become the county's newest financial watchdog.

The results are in, and with nearly all of the precincts in, Jack Schnirman has won the race to become Nassau County's newest comptroller.
Schnirman and his Republican opponent, Steven Labriola, were running to fill the seat that is being vacated by current comptroller George Maragos. Maragos ran in the Democratic primary to become County Executive and had to give up his spot as Comptroller to do so.
Though the race was close, Schnirman pulled ahead later in the night, earning 138,716 to Labriola's 134,561.
