- A fatal car crash in New Rochelle early Sunday claimed the lives of a Hempstead father and 7-year-old son, and critically injured the son's twin brother and 11-year-old sister. The twins were students at Landing Elementary School in Glen Cove. (Patch)
- Two students from Mineola High School and a third alternate were selected by The New York State School Music Association as outstanding musicians to perform in the 2021 All-State Music Conference. (The Island Now)
- Two people are in critical condition and three suffered serious injuries after being trapped in a house fire in Elmont over the weekend. Mineola Volunteer Ambulance and fire departments from 10 neighboring towns battled the blaze for 45 minutes. (News 12 Long Island)
