- New York State Senator Anna Kaplan (D-North Hills) will be hosting mobile office hours in June to offer services and assistance to residents. Kaplan will be at Mineola Memorial Library on June 9, from 12 - 2 p.m.; at Westbury Public Library on June 10, from 12 - 2 p.m.; and at Shelter Rock Public Library in Albertson on June 14, from 2 - 4 p.m. No appointment is necessary and walk-ins are welcome. - Nao Medical, an urgent care facility with 13 locations throughout Long Island and New York City, is opening an office in Mineola at 135 Mineola Boulevard. The physician-owned business was started in 2009 as an urgent care provider and is expanding to offer primary care services as well, including mental health treatment and occupational medicine. - The Nassau County Bar Association in Mineola is offering free legal advice for residents facing mortgage foreclosure on June 6 from 3 - 5:30 p.m. Individuals can schedule a consultation with a lawyer to receive free guidance at their office at 15 West Street.
