- A Freeport man pleaded not guilty to manslaughter and DWI charges in the May car crash in front of The Inn at New Hyde Park that killed three women. Dante Lennon, 22, said that he had injuries from the accident that left a group of women going home from a Sweet 16 party dead, as he appeared in court in a wheelchair. (The Island 360)
- The New York Jesus Baptist Church has bought an office building at 167 Willis Ave. at the corner of Cleveland Avenue in Mineola for $2.1 million. The Village of Mineola approved to convert the 10,000-square-foot, two-story office property to religious use for the church, which is moving from Whitestone, Queens. (Long Island Business News)
- Hanover Community Bank, headquartered in Mineola, is expanding to Suffolk County and opening its ninth location in Hauppauge to focus on commercial banking and support businesses in the area. The office at 410 Motor Parkway is expected to open by the end of the year. (Benzinga)
