Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. Police are looking to identify the man who robbed a sandwich shop and threatened to use a weapon in Mineola on Sunday night.According to authorities, a man entered Subway, located at 106 Old Country Road, and handed a female employee a demand note for money and threatened to use a gun, which he did not display, at 7:28 p.m.The employee handed over an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and the robber fled the store in an unknown direction.No injuries were reported.Police described the robber as white, around 30 to 40 years old, wearing gray pants, sneakers, a black parka with a fur-rimmed hood and beige gloves.Detectives request anyone with information regarding this robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
