Man Tried To Break Into Mineola Home: Police
The man could not get into the home and was arrested shortly after, police say.
MINEOLA, NY — A homeless man was arrested after Nassau police said he tried to break into a Mineola home on Sunday night.
Terrance Fews, 58, tried to open the front door of a Pennsylvania Avenue residence around 11:20 p.m., police said. Surveillance video captured Fews trying to get into the home, but he could not, and nothing was stolen, police said.
Officers found Fews outside the 3rd Precinct Stationhouse shortly after and placed him into custody, police said.

Fews was charged with second-degree burglary and is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday at First District Court, at 99 Main St., Hempstead.
