Nassau Bicyclist Killed In Hit-And-Run, Police Say

MINEOLA, NY — A 64-year-old bicyclist is dead after a hit-and-run in Mineola overnight, police said.

The cyclist had been riding south on Mineola Boulevard at Washington Avenue around 12:05 a.m. when he was hit by an unknown vehicle, Nassau County police said. The cyclist was rushed to a hospital with serious head injuries where he later died. His name is being withheld until his family can be notified.

Police ask that anyone with information come forward.
