Mineola High School Class of 2013 Students Awarded Red Cross Scholarships
Each student received $200 scholarships for work at blood drives.

Five Mineola High School students of the Class of 2013 will be the recipients of American Red Cross scholarships.
Allison Furuya, Julianne Falotico, Lia Pantelides, Julie Giamo and Teresa Ferreri are this year’s scholarship recipients. They organized and recruited blood donors for the school’s blood drive and also helped at the registration and canteen tables during the drive.
While American Red Cross blood drives help maintain an adequate blood supply, they also provide students the opportunity to help save lives and develop valuable leadership skills. The Red Cross has a unique scholarship program for these high schools. Each school that participates earns scholarship money for achieving certain milestones.
Each student was awarded $200 in scholarship funds.
